The Hotel Mar de Cortez is a charming and popular colonial-style hotel in the center of the fishing village of Cabo San Lucas, at the tip of Baja Peninsula, Baja California Sur, Mexico. The Hotel Mar de Cortez was among the first three hotels in Cabo San Lucas when it was a quaint fishing village. Rooms
Standard Room
The 27 Standard Rooms are all ground floor rooms, with the exception of four, and have a queen plus a twin bed; or double plus a twin; or two double beds. One room has a king bed only. Most of these rooms were part of the original construction in the late 1960s, reflecting the charm and warm Mexican flavor in their design. Most rooms have a porch opening to either the courtyard or pool.

Terrace Room
The 18 Terrace Rooms opened in October 2001 and were an instant hit. They are all upper level and each has a queen plus a twin bed, and opens up to an extended terrace/walkway with tables and chairs overlooking the hotel's courtyard and palm trees. The rooms are bright, nicely appointed, and accommodate one or two persons. Relax on the terrace in the warmth of the Baja air as you enjoy your morning coffee and a good book.

Garden
The 20 Garden View Rooms all have a queen bed & a double bed, an extra large recently remodeled in '04 & '05 shower and bath area with either a private patio or balcony overlooking the garden and pool. These large rooms are always in demand and can accommodate up to three persons comfortably.

King Suite
The 10 extra-large King Suites are tucked back in the corners of the hotel and accommodate up to four people easily. These suites are one large room with a king plus two twin beds. All suites have a very large shower and bath area plus a sitting area. Suites are especially suitable for families.

Suite 2+2
The 6 extra-large Suites are also tucked back in the corners of the hotel and accommodate up to four people easily. A 2 plus 2 suite is one large room with two double and two twin beds. All suites have a very large shower and bath area plus a sitting area. These suites are especially suitable for families.
